The Grenada Office of Creative Affairs (GOCA) invites Grenadian animation professionals to submit market-ready projects for an opportunity to be showcased at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and MIFA Market, the world’s leading platform for animation.
This initiative is designed to identify and elevate Grenada’s most promising animation projects, providing creators with direct access to the global animation industry.
Who Can Apply
Submissions are open to Grenadian citizens working in animation across the following categories:
- Feature Films
- Short Films
- TV Series
Projects may be in development, advanced stages or fully developed, provided they demonstrate strong potential for engagement in international markets.
What Selected Applicants Receive
Selected applicants will:
- Participate in an exclusive online pitch development workshop
- Receive one-on-one mentorship and project refinement support
- Travel to France to represent Grenada in person at the Annecy International Animation Festival & MIFA Market
Up to three (3) projects will be selected to represent Grenada at the Annecy International Animation Festival & MIFA Market in Annecy, France from June 21 – 27, 2026. Successful applicants will receive full funding support from GOCA to cover round-trip airfare, accommodation, ground transportation, travel insurance, festival & MIFA accreditation and per diem (local allowance).

Selection Process
The selection process is designed to be competitive, transparent, and development focused:
- Open Call Submission: All eligible projects are submitted for review
- Shortlisting: A jury selects 15 – 20 projects based on evaluation criteria
- Workshop Phase: Shortlisted participants undergo a pitch development workshop
- Final Selection: Following refinement, up to 3 projects are selected to represent Grenada at Annecy
Evaluation Criteria
Projects will be assessed by a panel of industry experts based on:
- Innovation & Originality – Strength and uniqueness of the concept and storytelling
- Market Potential– Ability to appeal to identified target audiences and international markets
- Creativity – Quality of artistic vision across visual and narrative elements
- Project Viability – Clarity of production plan, budget, and development strategy
- Relevance – Alignment between the creator’s intent and the project’s execution
- Visual Appeal – Strength of design, style, and overall visual presentation
Submission Guidelines
- Each applicant may submit only one (1) project
- Submissions must be compiled into a single PDF document (max. 10 MB). View sample document.
- Multiple-file submissions will not be considered

Terms & Conditions
- Authorisation: Applicants grant GOCA the right to use the submitted materials for promotional purposes
- Compliance: Incomplete or non-compliant submissions will not be considered
- Agreement: Submission implies full acceptance of all guidelines
